About character count

Counts the number of characters in the text entered in the text area.

When set to "Not including line breaks", the number of characters and bytes excluding line breaks is counted. When set to "Not including spaces", the number of characters and bytes excluding spaces (full-width half-width blanks) is counted.

The number of bytes calculates the full-width character by 2 bytes, half-width character by 1 bytes.
